Practicing fertility awareness isn’t just helpful for knowing when you’re fertile.
Most of my clients learn body literacy so they can avoid getting pregnant without relying on birth control.
But did you know that being fertile means you’re healthy? And if you’re healthy… that implies that you have energy.
Chances are if you’re feeling STUCK right now… your fertility, health & energy levels are in question.
Have you been tired, tense, unmotivated & irritable lately?
Fertility awareness can help you even if you’re not trying to conceive. If you want to live a happy & fulfilling life (& go after your dreams & goals)…
it’s important to be fertile, healthy & energized.
When you’re STUCK, overwhelmed, stressed & procrastinating — your life is basically on hold.
There’s no forward momentum.
Slow progress.
Little growth.
In today’s article, I’m going to teach you how I get unstuck using fertility awareness.
You deserve to live a good life.
You are worthy of it all.
Toss all those mindset hacks & time management strategies out the window. Your CYCLE holds the key to your success.
You’re probably ready to up-level your life, if…
you’ve tried everything — therapy, self-help books, motivational podcasts, birth control, antidepressants, meditation, yoga — but you’re still not where you want to be in life.
you struggle with PMS & hormonal mood swings throughout the cycle which impact your ability to stay motivated & consistent in pursuit of your goals.
you want to be more disciplined & creative but each time you try to change your habits & routines, you don’t always follow through.
you save inspirational posts on social media & feel the desire to take action… but keep waiting for that big “breakthrough”.
you struggle to rest because in the back of your head you feel guilty about not taking action on your to-do list.
you have things you need to do but it all feels like too much, and you’d rather find the “magic button” or wait until you have natural motivation.
you’ve tried every type of planner & organizational system but still feel like a hot mess.
you’re dreaming of a more confident & unstoppable version of you, but waiting for someone to say “I believe in you”.
Which one is most like you right now?
Let me share the key elements that helped me go from hormonal, moody and STUCK throughout my cycle’s fluctuations to living a productive & fulfilling lifestyle as an entrepreneur & stay-at-home Mom.
This article will show how your cycle…
is a powerful tool for creating an effective to-do list that ensures sufficient personal boundaries with your time & energy.
provides the structure needed to channel your energy & stay focused in order to achieve your dreams in a sustainable way (not with burnout).
is a practice grounds for healing trauma, overcoming procrastination & managing stress in a productive way.
is a powerful mirror for your personal development AND reminds you to prioritize your physical health (like reducing cramps, fatigue & mood swings) to restore your energy & maintain the stamina needed to achieve your goals.
provides a blueprint to create a life of ease, confidence, abundance & discipline.
PS - my favorite part of this article is where I highlight the five skills you need to practice cycle-based unstuck strategies.
Cycle-Based Unstuck Strategies
Toss all those mindset hacks out the window. Let’s break down the ways you can use fertility awareness to get unstuck & achieve your goals.
#1: LEARN TO READ YOUR BODY
I cannot stress enough how important it is to understand how your cycle communicates which hormone is influencing you. Your cycle talks to you through something called biomarkers.
Tracking your biomarkers (aside from a period app / jotting it down on a paper calendar) is a sure-fire way to uplevel your life and get unstuck at a much faster rate.
Again, you’re not doing this from a place of a “rise & grind” mentality. But merely because you’ll finally have more energy to channel towards your goals.
Here are the biomarkers that communicate which energetic hormonal frequency you’re in:
cervical mucus: a simple wipe with toilet paper (before urinating); observed by squeezing the toilet paper together (or many women will simply stretch the mucus with their fingers & wash their hands afterwards)
basal body temperature: using an oral BBT thermometer every morning at the same time & looking for the upward shift in temperatures
luteinizing hormone (ovulation testing): an easy at-home urine test strip; done primarily around peak estrogen levels
cervical position: a daily internal check to confirm softness, openness & height of the cervix as it adjusts throughout the cycle
When you learn how to observe, track and interpret the meaning of your biomarkers… you gain a much clearer understanding of which hormone is influencing your energetic experience.
I find that most women have a very vague understanding of what these biomarkers mean, even if they’re using tools like Natural Cycles or birth control apps. Too much reliance on a device is never a good thing. An app can never truly tell you what’s going on with your ovaries.

#2: LEVERAGE YOUR HORMONAL ADVANTAGE
Once you understand where you are in your cycle based on your biomarker interpretations, then you can capitalize on your hormonal influence to step into a better version of yourself.
Essentially what you’re doing is aligning your socialization, time management & other activities with the most ideal times of your cycle.
This way you’re going with the flow of your hormones, not against them.
For example, you probably wouldn’t go to work at 2am since that’s when your body would rather be in bed… in dreamland😴. Same goes for your cycle. It’s best to avoid certain tasks during specific phases of your cycle. And equally so, it would behoove you to prioritize activities that are easier to do when your hormones support it best.
There’s a variety of ways to tap into this cyclical power. Here are the 5 skills you need to when practicing cycle-based unstuck strategies:
recognize the somatic difference between stress, hormones & trauma triggers
sometimes it’s all three… sometimes it’s just one (& knowing the distinct way your body communicates this a hugeeee game changer in how you build resilience)
invite a new level of self-compassion for the way hormones influence mood & energy levels so you can meet yourself exactly where you’re at (instead of forcing yourself to be something you’re not)
take the permission slip from hormones to get out of the mind & into the body by leaning into the unique energetic frequency of estrogen or progesterone
basically, instead of furthering the placebo effect (“I’m hormonal” so that’s why I’m irritable), it becomes a conscious choice to align more intentionally with your cycle’s fluctuations (thereby, exploring the depth of your emotions from a more accepting place)
THEN, once you can lovingly process emotions (instead of disassociate by doom scrolling), you’ll have more energy & clarity to accomplish your goals
plan ahead & stick to intentions made
this requires a realistic approach to goal setting (not just writing every single wish on your to-do list) but getting very serious & committed & understanding of your limitations
and where you can push yourself beyond your comfort zone, at the same time!
track your biomarkers for a minimum three months
your biomarkers not only tell you when you are “fertile” but also how healthy and energized you are (this is what will help you get unstuck)
over time, you’ll start to see a pattern emerge which will help you to better mentally prepare for energetic shifts throughout your hormonal fluctuations
