When the cycle syncing trend became popular as a holistic remedy for PMS, I was overwhelmed with where to start. I wanted to eat better, exercise at the optimal times & plan my schedule in accordance with my cycle’s phases.
As someone with ADHD-like tendencies, starting & maintaining consistent habits doesn’t come naturally to me.
PLUS, I’m super busy (as we all are!). So finding the time to learn, integrate & tweak cycle syncing felt like one more thing.
I have kids to take care of, chores to keep up with, clients to serve and relationships to nurture. The idea of sticking to a meal plan, exercise regimen AND organizing my life around my cycle felt like a biiiiiit too much.
But deep down — I knew that cycle syncing would help me balance my hormones & reduce PMS/PMDD. I liked the idea of structuring my life around my cycle, but I struggled to incorporate it into my busy lifestyle.
“How am I supposed to scale back & “take a break” during my period? I have responsibilities to attend to! And how could I stay consistent with my yoga practice even on low motivation premenstrual days??”
These were just some of the questions that crossed my mind.
I tried a ton of different strategies to cycle sync my habits. I must have started & stopped a million times.
Oy VEY, was it a learning curve.
But I FINALLY figured how to start & STICK to a habit while also syncing these routines with my hormonal fluctuations.
One of the benefits to scheduling life around your cycle is that you get to lean on the strengths that each phase has to offer. This way, you’re not putting too much stress on your hormones by doing things at a less than ideal time of the cycle.
It’s like purging your entire house on a cold, miserable, rainy winter day.
You could mayyybbeeeee muster up the motivation to purge. Set a timer & reward yourself. But I’ve got ADHD — that sounds like a miserable experience, lol
If you waited until a warm, sunny spring day — you would probably have a bouncier step with the windows bringing in fresh spring air while the music blasts. Spring cleaning just isn’t as fun on a gloomy day in the doldrums of winter. It would probably take a lot of energy to self-motivate and stay focused. If you were to purge in the depths of winter, you might move a bit slower, but it would eventually get done.
OR, you could just wait until spring & save your energy! Less effort disciplining yourself & more innate, easeful action. Amen?
This is what cycle syncing does.
It’s the ultimate energy management skill.
Energy management = less stress on the body = hormones can do what they're designed to do = less PMS/PMDD! See how that works?

What’s inside the Cycle Syncing Template?
This is a hormonally-based personal organization system for aligning your life with your cycle! It’s a natural way to support your hormones by increasing efficiency, sticking to habits & routines while ALSO achieving your goals with greater ease.
There are essentially FOUR main areas in which you spend your time in life (See below for a breakdown of each one).
The template reviews the cyclical influence for each area along with 20+ journal prompts, menstrual mindset shifts & simple action items for cycle syncing your life. Below is a preview of each category!
1 - THE ESSENTIALS. chores, errands, meals, movement, stress management, relationships.
These are your every day tasks that support your basic needs for survival. For example, you need to take care of dishes on a somewhat regular basis if you cook food that fuels you. Otherwise, you'd have a messy kitchen with nothing to cook or eat with. You also need to move your body in some moderate way on a frequent basis (every 2-3 days minimum!!). I don't need to go into the science — you just know how icky it feels if you sit for too long or have stiff muscles, etc. And then of course, most people who are happy, healthy & fulfilled in life tend to have good relationships. It's vital to emotional well-being and provides us with a sense of support (no one likes feeling alone in life, amiright?).
In the template, we’ll review how you can keep up with these essential tasks while honoring your fluctuating mood & energy levels while supporting optimal hormonal health.
2 - THE NECESSARY SHIT. finances, appointments, errands, decluttering, organizing, deep cleaning.
These are your weekly or monthly tasks that keep things moving behind the scenes. They tend to be uncomfortable, tedious or just “one more thing to worry about”. This could include government tasks like taxes, voting, identification renewal, etc. It also includes doctor appointments, car inspection, paying bills, reviewing your budget and/or other shit that comes with adulting. Caring for your belongings & home is lumped into this category because sometimes you just silently wonder to yourself why you’re cleaning the baseboards on a Saturday afternoon every spring.
Inside, you’ll learn how this is actually one of the easiest areas of life to get done, just by using the structure of your cycle.
3 - “LIFE IS GOOD” DEPARTMENT. connecting with others, self-care practices, spiritual rituals, activities, adventures, vacations, hobbies.
The necessary categories tend to consume most of our time & always find a way of becoming top priority. Because of this, we can lose sight of prioritizing the things that fuel our emotional & spiritual health. Sometimes we even end up doing these things while procrastinating more pressing matters. Yet, these are the very things that lower stress, decrease anxiety & increase energy output for the other important things in life.
The Cycle Syncing Template will help you evaluate how to balance productivity & rest so your nervous system (& hormones!) are relaxed. Phew.
4 - AMBITIONS CORNER. passion project, side hustle, current (or future) business, skill goals, knowledge acquisition, hobbies.
These are the things that fill up your spiritual cup (or maybe even your bank account!). If you value creativity, service or growth — prioritizing this area of life makes you feel like you are living up to your fullest potential. Knowledge is power. Developing skills build confidence. The Ambitions Corner is full of the necessary building blocks to robust emotional & mental health. Dedicating yourself to this area of life typically helps you achieve your purpose in life. And a healthy soul = healthy hormones!
The template will look at how you can tap into your creative source at different points of the cycle to not only support your hormones, but take action in seeing your dreams come to fruition! It’s the how-to guide for becoming the best version of yourself as a woman with fluctuating hormones.
